Where the City Ends
private residence

private residence
The most demanding design briefs are not always the most complex ones. This private home in Nicosia was built around a single, focused objective: to create a genuine counterpoint to a high-pressure professional life, a residence where the environment actively restores rather than stimulates. The challenge was to deliver a space of considered luxury that prioritises mental clarity and sensory calm above all else.
The plan is organised around a central water feature that anchors circulation and establishes the home's sensory register from the moment of entry. Full-height fluted wall panelling runs throughout, concealing storage and service entries to maintain a clean, uninterrupted visual field. In the private quarters, open-plan wellness areas are integrated with sculptural fixtures and indirect lighting, while acoustic ceiling modulation and considered botanical focal points sustain the atmosphere without demanding attention. The result is a residence where the technical precision of the detailing is felt rather than seen, and where the design earns its value not through display but through the quality of daily life it makes possible.
