Beauty Bar, Nicosia Mall

commercial & retail
Beauty retail has a habit of taking itself too seriously. Clinical white walls, hushed atmospheres, and counters that feel more like barriers than invitations. Beauty Bar was conceived as a deliberate rejection of all of that. The brief was to build a space that felt less like a shop and more like a night out: loud, inclusive, and completely unapologetic about what it stands for.
The store is built around the idea of the bar as a spatial and cultural metaphor. The checkout counter reads as a bar top, the music sets a mood, and the lighting does the work that a good venue always does: it makes everyone look and feel good. A cascading LED chandelier and disco ball anchor the ceiling, while neon signage, Hollywood vanity mirrors, and brand-lit display towers create a space that performs as much as it sells. The design supports a product mix that spans mass-market colour cosmetics to premium fragrance, organised to encourage discovery rather than direct the customer. At the heart of it all is the brand's defining message: be your own kind of beautiful. A message that went beyond the walls and into the way the space makes you feel the moment you walk in. The result is a retail environment that feels genuinely alive.
